Airport Transfers

What is the best way to get from Brisbane Airport to The Mirage?
There are several companies that offer regular transfers from Brisbane Airport. The cost is $42 per person as long as there is a minimum of 2 adults. We are happy to book airport transfers for you just send us your flight details.

What is the best way to get from Maroochydore Airport to The Mirage?
Jump in a cab, it is about a 20 minute cab ride and there are plenty available at the cab rank. Alternatively you can pick up a hire car on arrival at the airport – again we are happy to arrange a hire car for you.


How big are your apartments?
Big! One of the most common comments from our guests is how spacious the apartments are.

Does a two bedroom apartment have one or two bathrooms?
A two bedroom apartment always has two bathrooms. An ensuite with walk in shower, vanity and toilet and a second bathroom with shower, bath and toilet.

How many bathrooms does a three bedroom apartment have?
A three bedroom apartment has two bathrooms. An ensuite with walk in shower and toilet plus a second bathroom with shower and bath. The second toilet is separate from the bathroom which many guests find convenient.

Do you provide Hair Dryers
Yes, every apartment has a hair dryer

Does every apartment have a laundry?
Yes, all the apartments have a separate laundry with washing machine and dryer. We also provide a clothes rack.

Does every apartment have a kitchen?
Yes, all the apartments have a full size kitchen with full size fridge, dishwasher, oven, 4 burner stove top. Kitchens are equipped with crockery, cutlery, cooking utensils, bowls, storage containers, placemats, saucepans, fry pans.

Other useful kitchen items include teapot, coffee plunger, salad servers

Does every apartment have a balcony?
Yes, every apartment has an east facing balcony with outdoor seating.

Are all the Apartments Air Conditioned?
Yes, all the apartments have an air conditioner in the living area. Some of the three bedroom apartments have a second air conditioner in the master bedroom. One of our two bedroom premier apartments has fully ducted air conditioning. There are Ceiling Fans in all bedrooms.

Disabled Facilities
While we do not have any apartments specifically for our disabled guests all our apartments are accessible by lift. All doorways are wide enough for wheelchairs, every apartment has a walk in shower.

We have many guests who are in wheelchairs who find The Mirage comfortable.

Our pools are especially great for children in wheelchairs as they are able to sit in the ‘beach’ entry area – the pools are accessible via a pathway

Surrounding access – From The Mirage you can take a wheelchair for a great walk around the lagoon or footpaths are provided into both Mooloolaba, Maroochydore and Cotton Tree.

Location – How far is it to the Beach?
150 metres and you are swimming between the flags!

TV – What channels do you offer?
All regular digital channels plus

Fox Sport 1, Fox Sport 2, Fox Sport 3, Movie one, Movie Extra, Movie Greats, Nikolodeon, Sky News, Fox 8, Musicmax.

How often are rooms serviced?
For bookings in excess of 7 nights you will receive a mid stay service. During this service all linen is replaced. You are able to launder your own linen at any time as every apartment has a laundry.


Is it cheaper to book online?
Unlike many of the larger accommodation chains we love to chat to you so the answer is no! Booking online is not cheaper.

We will match (or sometimes better depending on availability) any online rate.

If we can’t see the dates or apartment type we are looking for online is it definitely not available?
Not always! For various reasons it is not always possible to have every combination of offer online – please give us a call, we may be able to move something around and meet your request.

I can’t always get to the phone during office hours do you take after hour calls?
Absolutely, please leave a message on the answering machine and we will call you back. We often check our emails after hours so feel free to send us an email as well.

What happens if we are arriving outside office hours?
This is no problem at The Mirage. We have a secure box where we will put your keys, parking map and room information. A code will be emailed or sent by text message.

What is your Cancellation Policy?
Cancellation Policy:

Low Season Cancellation

A $300 deposit is due at time of booking. Full payment is required 14 days prior to arrival. Bookings cancelled inside 14 days forfeit the total cost of the accommodation.

Mid Season Cancellation

A $650 deposit is due at time of booking. Full payment is required 30 days prior to arrival. Bookings cancelled inside 30 days forfeit the total cost of the accommodation.

High Season Cancellation

A $650 deposit is due at time of booking. Full payment is required 30 days prior to arrival. Bookings cancelled inside 30 days forfeit the total cost of the accommodation.

All refunds incur an administration fee of $100.


Is there much traffic noise when sitting on the balcony?

No! That is one of the wonderful rewards of staying at The Mirage – no traffic noise – maybe a duck or two splashing in the lagoon!

Does The Mirage have a Day Spa
We do not have a salon on site but work closely with Ripple Massage and Day Spa – the beauty of this is that they come directly to you!

Information is available in the in room compendium, on our website , or give us a call and we can arrange treatments for you.

Do you have a sauna?
Whoever designed the Mirage was a sauna lover – our sauna is located next to the gym and can comfortably seat eight adults.

What equipment is in the gym?
We have a large gym at The Mirage equipped with updated equipment including: free weights, speed bike, exercise bike, treadmill, rowing machine, step machine weight station. Watch Foxtel while you work out!

Do we need a car during our stay?
The Mirage is a great place to relax and enjoy the onsite facilities. Within 500 metres there a selection of restaurants, bars, cafes, supermarkets.

Mooloolaba centre is an easy 20 minute walk

If you want to do a trip to the hinterland, or explore the coastline then a car is great.

What happens if we arrive before check in time?
You are welcome to leave any luggage with us at reception and take advantage of our facilities or local eateries while you wait for your room. Reception will contact you by phone when your room is ready.

Do you provide amenities?
On arrival you will have in your apartment a range of toiletries, detergents for dishwasher, dishwashing and laundry. Replacements are available from reception for a nominal charge or you can easily top up from local supermarkets.

Does the Mirage have a Business Centre?
During office hours reception will be happy to assist with your business needs


Do you provide parking and is it free?
Every apartment has one secure undercover parking space.

The height clearance to all the car parks is 2 metres.

There are two supermarkets located at Sunshine Plaza- Woolworths and Coles

There is a discount chemist located 100 metres from The Mirage
